A Kingston University student has been found dead at her home in Norbiton.
The body of 19-year-old Nicole Robertson, a second year criminology and sociology student originally from Brighton, was discovered by police on April 18 at her home in Victoria Road.
A Kingston police spokesman said the death was not being treated as suspicious, but is unexplained.
He said: "Police were called to an address in Norbiton on the April 18 at around 21.30 hours to concerns for the welfare of a woman at the address.
"On arrival, officers found the body of a deceased 19 year old woman, who has since been named as Nicole Robertson.
"Next of kin are aware."
Dr Bridget Towers, director of studies for criminology at Kingston University, said: “Staff and students are shocked and saddened by the news of Nicole’s sudden passing.
“She was a lovely young woman who had an outstanding record of achievements during her time at Kingston.
“She was held in great respect and affection by her tutors and fellow students.
“Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family and friends at this painful time.”
An inquest has been opened and adjourned.
