Spring has truly sprung as Greensleeves Morris Men whipped out their hankies to welcome the month of May with their annual Wimbledon Day of Dance.

The Wimbledon-based dancing troupe continued tradition by donning their signature white shirts, black breeches and green baldrics to performing to locals over the sunny Bank Holiday weekend.

On Saturday they began their season of dance on the rear terrace of the Cannizaro Hotel in Wimbledon Common, before continuing to the Morden Hall Park Country show.

The Greensleeves’ jam-packed schedule continues with performances on Friday at the Alexandra, Wimbledon Hill Road, at 8pm followed by The Trafalgar, in High Path, at 9pm.

Founded in 1926, Greensleeves is London’s longest established Morris dancing club and has been based in Wimbledon SW19 for the past 32 years.
