A group campaigning against gang crime is joining forces with a mentoring programme.
Lives Not Knives are teaming up with the Horizons project, a partnership between South London YMCA, Lives Not Knives and Association for Black engineers.
Funding is being provided by the Greater London Assembly (GLA) and will enable the group to deliver mentoring training with the aim of improving the lives of boys aged 10 to 16 in Croydon.
Anyone over the age of 18 can apply to undergo mentoring training.
The Lives not Knives team are also doing a sky dive on May 31 to raise funds for the group.
The aim is to raise money to go towards putting on workshops in schools and colleges. They also want to run roadshows across Croydon and Bromley.
