Two children were cut free from a car that was shunted from behind in Selhurst last night.

Fire crews from Woodside station cut the pair out as a precaution as they were complaining of neck and back pain.

Fire fighter Michael Dubarbier said: "It was spine and neck pain so they had to stay in the vehicle and be slid out on spine boards."

Mr Dubarbier said they believed the incident occurred as the car was slowing down and another car had crashed into it from behind.

The crew were called to the crash on Sangley Road, next to Selhurst Park Stadium, just before 8pm last night.
