A SCOLA Sutton College student has won the London Senior Learner award as part of Adult Learner's Week.
Angela Hanken, from Sutton overcame her anxieties after attending a variety of classes at the college achieving qualifications in Russian, Art and Design and Photography.
She said: "The art classes at SCOLA have changed my life in that I am no longer depressed, but notice more than ever the beauty of all the ordinary things around us."
Adult Learners’ Week, runs from May 18 to May 24 and is the largest annual celebration of adult learning in the UK.
To celebrate Adult Learner’s Week, SCOLA are offering a range of free taster courses including watercolour, computing and Egyptology. These free courses will run from May 20 to May 24.
