An optician will bring Bruce Lee-style martial arts to Walton next month.
Mital Patel took up kamon wing chun 10 years ago and has since become a qualified instructor. He will run classes at St Andrew’s Church on Thursdays from June 13.
Mr Patel, store director at Walton Specsavers, said: “I was aware of kamon wing chun through the martial arts legend Bruce Lee, and it particularly appealed to me because of the technicality, skill and discipline involved.
“It also keeps the mind alert and focused, while the self-defence moves and agility help maintain a healthy lifestyle.”
Mr Patel will run a free taster session at St Andrew’s Church on June 6 between 7pm and 9pm. The classes are suitable for beginners and people aged eight and above.
