I think it's about time Sutton Council took action over the Car2Go parking issue.

Parking spaces within the borough are scarce enough without these vehicles taking up much needed spaces.

They are often parked for days at a time because no one is using them and, for residents in my area (Cheam Village), it often means driving around neighbouring streets to find a space to park your car.

I see them parked in restricted waiting bays with parking tickets on - who pays for these tickets?

Why are they allowed to park indefinitely?

Parking around Cheam Village is at a premium for those of us living here with far too few parking bays.

So in addition to having commuters using our parking spaces, we are now having to contend with another ill-thought scheme being supported by the council.

Who in their right mind would pay 35p per minute, £21 an hour, to use one of these cars? A millionaire maybe!  Certainly no-one I could name - we couldn't afford it.

What is our local MP Paul Burstow doing about this? Anything?

Mary R.,
Cheam
