The shortlist for the Croydon Community Civic Awards have been announced.
The awards in nine categories, recognise the outstanding volunteering achievements of individuals and groups in the borough.
Categories include volunteer of the year, personal achievement award and young volunteer of the year.
Shortlisted nominees include mentor Princess Roberts, who has worked to prevent young people from getting involved with gangs and Tony Rowland, who has been volunteering from more than 50 years.
Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on Thursday, June 6, at Hilton Croydon.
Each winner will receive a plaque, a signed certificate which includes a citation from the Mayor of Croydon.
Councillor Vidhi Mohan, cabinet member for communities and economic development, said: "These awards recognise the fantastic achievements of those who give up their time to help others and make Croydon a better place for everyone.
"Each and every finalist should be immensely proud of their admirable efforts and I for one am humbled by their tireless dedication and hard work."
