Two traders kicked out of Kingston Market Place will be given the chance to present their case at a hearing this week.

David Wilson and Angela Lassiter will meet with town centre managers Kingstonfirst on Thursday to argue against being booted out of the market ahead of a planned revamp.

The pair were evicted last Monday, after being told their stall did not "fit in" with kingston Council's new vision for a hot and cold food market.

Solictor Roger Sceats, who is representing the traders, said: "There's going to be some form of hearing in which the stall holders can put their case across.

"We can't discuss the proposed changes but we can discuss how we're going to deal with their problem."

Mr Sceats said the meeting would take place at 9am, but a venue had yet to be confirmed.

Kingstonfirst declined to comment.
