Five people living in flats above a dry cleaners have escaped uninjured after a fire in the shop.
Crews from Woodside, Norbury and Beckenham fire stations were called to High Street, South Norwood, at 7.04am and the blaze was under control by 7.42am.
A fire brigade spokesman said 25 percent of the ground floor, had been damaged by fire.
The occupants in the flats above left before crews arrived using an internal staircase, and no-one was injured in the incident.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
