The future of Times Square in Sutton town centre is up for discussion this week.
A specially convened meeting for councillors, prior to the development control committee meeting tomorrow night, will look at plans for part of the development.
Times House, on Throwley Way, is part of the deal which is set to see the Times Square Shopping Centre sold.
The prospective owners want to turn the Time House office block into 112 residential affordable units, adding two floors to the existing building and the erection of two new residential blocks above the shopping centre.
At the private meeting, the applicant will provide a presentation, followed by a question and answer session.
A spokesman for Times Square confirmed that the shopping centre would remain as such after the proposed takeover.
A spokesperson for Sutton Council said: "The council has received a pre-application proposal for the redevelopment of land at Times Square, High Street and Times House, Throwley Way, Sutton and a briefing has been arranged on 22 May 2013 to provide an update for councillors."
