London Ambulance Service are hosting a day of fun and learning at a health fair next week.

Activities range from life saving skills, CPR demonstrations and free health checks, to face painting and a magician for children, as well as the chance to look inside an ambulance.

The fair will take place between 10am and 4pm at New Addington Community Centre in Central Parade on Friday May 31 and entry is free.

In addition to a bicycle where you can pedal your way to a smoothie, there will also be stalls showcasing the history of the ambulance service, how to call 999.

Information will also be on offer about the British Heart Foundation, London Fire Brigade and Hear Us mental health charity.

Vicki Hirst, Community Involvement Officer for Croydon, said: "This is a great opportunity for the local community to come along and learn how to save a life, find out more about our service and also to have some fun.

"With a number of stalls from other organisations it’s a great opportunity for those who live or work in Croydon to find out more information about their local healthcare options."
