Voluntary groups and councillors toasted the new Elmbridge Community Hub at its official opening this week.
Elmbridge mayor Councillor Mike Bennison unveiled the hub as well as a plaque at the old Walton library site on Monday.
The £800,000 refurbished building will now house voluntary groups including Walton, Weybridge and Hersham Citizens Advice Bureau, the Counselling Partnership, Surrey Independent Living Council and Surrey Police.
Coun Bennison said: “The refurbishment of this old Victorian building has proved to be a real success.
“It provides an excellent base for voluntary organisations in Elmbridge and enables residents to get the advice and help they need in a comfortable environment.”
