Volunteers helped spruce up the gardens at Whiteley Village in preparation for the Weybridge Running Festival.
Two dozen staff from Air Products in Hersham mucked in by cutting back rhododendrons and preparing flower beds.
Ian Lansley, whose estate management team looks after woodlands and leisure areas, said five thousand plants needed to be put in.
He said: “The volunteers from Air Products could not be here at a better time. Everyone needs a little help from their friends in the garden from time to time, but this is on another scale altogether.”
More than 200 runners are set to take part in the festival this weekend, which will also feature a sponsored obstacle fun run.
