More than 3,000 people are expected to attend Balham and Tooting's annual community event next month.

The Balham and Tooting Community Association (BATCA) Fun Day, now in its sixth year, takes place on June 8 in the residential area between the High Street and Fishponds Road.

Some of the highlights this year include fairground rides, an array of international food stalls, sports coaching, animals from Kingston City Farm and arts and crafts.

There will be a selection of community-based stalls including Tooting Fire station, Transition Town Tooting, Free health checks, such as BMI and blood pressure, will also be available with Wandsworth Council's public health team.

The Fun Day is organised jointly by Gatton Muslim Primary School, St Augustine’s Church, Broadwater Road and the Balham and Tooting Community Association.
