Two gang members were jailed for life yesterday after being found guilty of a drive-by murder in Tulse Hill.

Nana Darko-Frempong, 18, was shot dead yards from his home in Purser House, on the Tulse Hill estate, in June 2011.

Christopher Gabriel, 25, and another 25-year-old who can not be named for legal reasons, were given life sentences at the Old Bailey and were ordered to serve a minimum term of 30 years each.

Gabriel and his accomplice were part of the Camberwell-based Roadside Gangsters, the court heard, whose rivals were the Trust Number 1 gang in Tulse Hill.

The men had gone to the area to carry out an attack on the Tulse Hill estate and Mr Darko-Frempong was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Romario Henry, 22, and two other men, who also can not be named, were found guilty of perverting the course of justice and jailed for eight years.

Al Daniels, 23, was convicted of having a firearm with intent to endanger life and other firearms offences. He will be sentenced on 28 June.

Nathan Dawson, 27, was found not guilty of murder.
