An African Gospel Choir serenaded shoppers in support of the Wimbledon Foodbank.
In what was their first performance outside of South Africa, The Now Generation, Namibia’s leading gospel choir, helped the Wimbledon Foodbank drum up donatations from shoppers at Waitrose in Raynes Park on May 18.
The choir are currently on tour in London.
Clive Willemse, choir leader, said: "We were delighted to interrupt our schedule to help collect food for people in crisis in London."
Demand for the foodbank has doubled in recent months.
