Beer drinkers said cheers last week as they welcomed the reopening of a refurbished Epsom pub.
The Rifleman in East Street opened on Saturday, May 18, and now serves six cask ales on tap including beers from local microbreweries.
The pub’s licensee Mo Ismail has promised punters top notch food and booze and drinkers can sample its beer in small tasting glasses.
He said: “It is a brand new start for the Rifleman and I am proud to be taking the pub forward.
“The new focus will be about providing good quality food and drink, sourced from local suppliers wherever this is possible.
“As with our approach to the beers, all the food we serve will be locally sourced wherever possible.
“Our meat comes from our local butcher and bread from our local baker.”
A BBQ and live jazz music event was held last weekend to celebrate the pub’s re launch and it is planning an evening with Greene King head brewer John Bexon, who will offer a range of real cask ales for customers to taste.
