This year’s Walton & Weybridge rowing regatta takes place on Saturday and organisers expect more than 200 competitors to take to the water.
Races take place every four minutes between 8am and 6pm on a 1km stretch of the River Thames, between Walton Marina and Miskins Wharf, near Walton Rowing Club.
Race committee member Clive Capel said: “There are plenty of highlights but the biggest one of the regatta has to be the invitation eights.
“Is there a better sight in rowing than the biggest and fastest boats going flat out side by side? It always looks spectacular.”
Organisers suggest fans get a spot on the course as early as possible – there are food outlets and refreshments available during the day.
There is parking available on the Dudley Road recreation ground.
