The London Fire Brigade has been called out four times in the last two years to help paramedics lift overweight people.
A freedom of information request revealed that from August 2011 to January 2013 they were called out three times to help the London ambulance service lift heavy patients in the London Borough of Sutton.
They were also called out in September 2012 to an overweight person trapped between a bed and a restraining rail.
