A flat was left wrecked after fire broke out caused by an electrical fault.
Three fire engines were called to the flat in Henning Street, Battersea, at about 5.30pm last night.
The owner of the first floor flat was at work, with a passer by notifying the fire brigade after spotting the blaze.
It is still under investigation, but is believed to have been caused by a faulty electrical item.
One room was left completely damaged in the fire.
