Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was stabbed during a fight between two groups of men at a Croydon tram stop.

The incident happened at 2.30pm yesterday afternoon, when the three victims were travelling on board a tram towards Church Street.

When the service pulled into the tram stop, they were approached by three men.

Det Con Elkins added: "Officers will be increasing patrols to reassure both passengers and rail staff, and will be conducting anniversary visits appealing for witnesses to the incident."
