Information is needed by police after a cyclist was knocked from his bike in a crash with a skip lorry.

The incident, at 7.15am on Friday May 31, took place close to the Esso petrol station on West Hill, part of the A3 in Putney.

The cyclist, a 35-year-old man, was treated at the scene by paramedics and taken to St George's Hospital where his injuries were treated.

He is now at home recovering.

The driver of the lorry, a 34-year-old man, stopped at the scene.

He was arrested on suspicion of careless driving and has been bailed pending further enquiries until early July.

Detective Constable John Roberts, said: "This stretch of road was fairly busy with commuters at the time of the incident and I would urge anyone who may have seen any of the parties in the moments leading up to the collision, or the collision itself, to contact police."
