I wish to express my sincere thanks to all the wonderful staff at the Palliative Care Unit (B1 Ward) in St Helier Hospital, who looked after my wife, Audrey McSweeney, during the last few weeks of her life.
Their hard work, dedication and high levels of care, kindness and empathy were not gone unnoticed, and I am truly grateful for everything they did for us.
There is an awful lot of bad press out there for NHS hospitals, so I felt strongly that something positive be written, and that their efforts be recognised.
