Cyclists are invited to take part in a festival celebrating the sport this month.

During the festival visitors can try grass track racing, test their speed on the 50m racing lane, try out their abilities in the skills arena, play bike polo, and get Dr Bike to give their bike an MOT.

Last year’s bike fest saw more than 200 people join in the celebrations, which will be held at Kneller Gardens, in Twickenham, from 11am to 4pm, on June 30.

Richmond Council cycling champion, Councillor Katharine Harborne, said: “I am biased of course but there is nowhere better to cycle than Richmond.

“We have the simply the best parks, historic houses and fabulous gardens for everyone to enjoy.”
