A lifeboat crew thanked pupils at a Twickenham school their support while the crew were searching for a missing person.
Following a search of the Strawberry Hill and Twickenham area on June 4, Teddington Lifeboat crew took to Twitter to announce the person had been “found safe and well” by police.
But they wanted to make sure cheers of support from Radnor House pupils had not gone unnoticed by thanking them on Twitter.
@rnli_teddington tweeted: “@RadnorHouseTW thanks to your staff and pupils who kept us company whilst out on a shout on the river this lunchtime.”
David Paton, head of Radnor House school, said: “[The lifeboat crew] were on a routine patrol and the children were amazed by the twists and turns of the boat on the river.”
Florence, in year 4, said: “It was so fast and bright but much quieter than I thought.”
