The bin fire was blamed on a discarded cigarette
Surbiton firefighters were called to a bin and a fence on fire last night.
The blaze, in Berrylands Road, was caused by a discarded cigarette, temporary crew manager Ben Sargent-Cain said.
The crew was called by police at about 10.30pm, and dealt with the fire in minutes, he added.
