Police have appealed for people to take more care when leaving their car after a spate of thefts from unlocked vehicles.
Five out of six victims left their vehicles unlocked before items were stolen in Ashtead, Bookham and Fetcham over the past two weeks.
Mole Valley Neighbourbood Inspector Andy Rundle said in a vast majority of cases valuables were left on display or vehicles left unlocked.
He said: "Please do not make it easy for thieves to make you a victim of crime. Lock and secure your car and remove all valuables."
