There is a charity comedy and curry night taking place at Fairfield Halls this evening.

The night aims to raise money for those affected by the collapse of the nine-story Rana Plaza garment factory in Savar, Bangladesh which saw more than a thousand people die.

Nick Miller of The Big Idea together with the Chairman and committee of The Federation of Bangladeshi Caterers are putting on the event in aid of the Rana Plaza Disaster Fund.

Tickets for the night cost £20 and includes as much Indian food as you can manage and a night of entertainment which includes various comedy acts.

All of the ticket proceeds go to the charity.

The event starts at 7pm and goes on until 10.30pm at Fairfield Halls, Park Lane Croydon, CR0 9DG.
