A woman from Kingston, who was killed in a car accident in East Sussex on Saturday, has been named by police.
Anna Maria Szalc, 59, from Lancaster Gardens, Kingston, died after the Ford Mondeo she was travelling in collided with a Ford Transit van on the A22 near Uckfield at 8am.
The Mondeo then collided with a Mercedes.
Mrs Szalc was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Mondeo, a 64-year-old man from Kingston believed to be Mrs Szalc's husband, was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital with serious injuries.
The people from the other vehicles suffered minor injuries.
Sergeant Dan Pitcher from East Sussex Road Policing said: "This is a tragic incident and our thoughts are with the family of the deceased.
"I would like to thank motorists for their patience while emergency services were at the scene.
"I would also ask that anyone who may have seen the collision to contact Sussex Police on 101 quoting Operation Ankara or email collision.appeal@sussex.pnn.police.uk."
