More than 150 young people attended a jobs fair organised by a Croydon MP last week.

Steve Reed, MP for Croydon North, held the fair on Friday at Croydon College.

Attendees were able to meet with a range of employers from different industries, attend CV and interview workshops and find out more about education and training opportunities.

Mr Reed also held an employment summit on the same day which brought together a wide range of groups to find new ways to get unemployed people back to work.

The Croydon North MP said: “The jobs fair was a huge success.

“Many employers told me they had arranged interviews and I will be in touch with the young people to find out how many of them secure jobs as a result of this.

“I would like to thank Croydon College for hosting this event, and all the employers who took part to give young people from Croydon North the chance of a better future.”
