A man and 17-year-old boy were charged with robbery yesterday after a taxi driver was mugged at gunpoint.
The taxi driver was threatened and forced to hand over his wallet and mobile phone when he dropped off passengers in Epsom in February.
John Danny Young, 24, of Pine Walk, Surbiton, and the 17-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, are appearing at South East Surrey Magistrates’ Court today.
On Friday February 22, at 11.20pm, the taxi driver was called to take three passengers from Worcester Park to Epsom.
He was unharmed during the armed robbery which took place in Stanton Close, Epsom.
Three other people arrested in connection with the robbery have been released without further action.
