Crystal Palace new Spanish signing Jose Campana said he will fire the goals to send the Eagles soaring in the Premier League.

The U20s international, who put pen to paper on a four-year deal today, described himself as a typical Spanish midfielder with not only an eye for goal, but an eye for the killer pass.

Speaking to cpfc.co.uk, the 20-year-old former Sevilla man said: “I like to think are my best qualities are to keep the ball and distribution.

“I scored a lot of goals when I was in the academy at Sevilla. That’s what I want, but especially to keep the ball and to organise the team.”

Campana, who has been capped seven times at U20 level, left his hometown club of Sevilla after making his debut in August 2011, although he featured predominantly for the B squad in the Segunda Division.

He said: “I’m delighted to become a Crystal Palace player, I’m really excited to play in the Premier League.

“It’s a good step for me, and I’m looking forward to meeting all the boys and starting as quickly as possible.”

Holloway admitted his delight at bringing in the Spaniard to bolster his squad ahead of the Premier League campaign.

He said: “I think he’s a fantastic player, his maturity is unbelievable, and the way he plays the game is the way I believe it should be played.

“He’s going to be a great star of the future and the present.”
