It was a weekend to remember for Teddington swimmers as they brought back a mountain of medals from two meets in Elmbridge and Crystal Palace.

On Saturday, at the Black Open Swan meet at the Elmbridge XL Leisure Centre the club took home a total of 44 medals, including 11 golds and a Top Girl award, and then, as if that was not enough, on Sunday at the London Sprint meets at Crystal Palace the club hauled in 23 medals with 9 golds and a Top Boy award.

It marked an exciting time for the club as 12-year-old Sophie Johnson, the Top Girl from Saturday, won four golds, five silvers and two bronze medals. At Crystal palace it was 10-year-old Jacob Patterson who was the star, turning in a display worthy of two golds and two silvers, as well as claiming the Top Boy prize.

Also taking gold on the Saturday were Sophie Fussell, 11, in three events; Anna Fisk, 13; Teo Bainbridge, 11; Brandon Sayers, 15, and Sam Turner, 16.

Silver medals were handed out to Sam Turner, 16, and Owain Strassburg, 15, in three events each; Lydia Rodford, 14, in two events; Elin Jonsson, 13; Sacha Clayson, 9; Eddie Hunt, 10; Amelia Mackie, 10; Joe John, 11, and Gracie Mackie, 13.

While bronzes were claimed by Anna Fisk; Harriet Johnson, 13; Gracie Mackie; Sam Turner; Lydia Rodford; Eddie Hunt; Louis de Schynkel, 11, and Matty Cheesborough, 12.

The medals on Sunday were claimed by Alice Patterson, 12, with gold in the 50m breaststroke and silver in the 50m butterfly, as well as golds for Sophie Fussell, 11; James Petchey, 14; Daniel Edmiston, 16; Oliver Hall, 17; Natalie Redmayne, 17, and James Adams, 20.

Silvers went to Alice Smail in three events; Brandon Sayers, 15; Oliver Hall, 16 and Daniel Edmiston, 16.

With Bronze medals going to Daniel again as well as Jodie Derbyshire, 10; Gabrielle Icmat, 12, and Alex Fernandez-Buckley, 14.
