Officers from Merton Council will be in Colliers Wood today to ask residents for their views on the future of the town’s centre.
The drop in sessions follows the council’s successful bid for funding from the Mayor of London as part of the Connecting Colliers Wood project – a partnership between Merton Council, Transport for London and the Mayor of London.
As part of the project improvements will be made to the area outside Colliers Wood tube station including the road and pavement between Colliers Wood and Merton High Streets.
Easier access from Colliers Wood to the Wandle Valley Park and Merton Priory is also planned.
A formal consultation is planned later this year.
Representatives from the council will be outside Colliers Wood Tube station today, July 19, from 3 to 7pm, and at Sainsbury’s in Colliers Wood on Saturday, July 20, from 11 to 3pm.
