To celebrate their 80th anniversary, the 4th Walton Scouts held a special garden party.

The event, held at the scout hut in Cottimore Lane on June 29, brought together past and present members of the scouting community.

More than 150 people came to enjoy the festivities including former leaders going back 40 years and current beavers, cubs and scouts.

A bouncy castle, space hopper races and pioneering activities kept the youngsters busy, while adults enjoyed the hog roast and reminiscing about old times.

The scout troop designed a commemorative badge for the occasion and it was presented by Doris Brothwell, an active support of the scouts for more than 40 years.
