A copy of this week's Epsom Guardian has been sealed in a time capsule which will not be opened for 25 years.
The Mayor of Epsom, Councillor Colin Taylor, was at Linden House care home yesterday to help bury the capsule, created to celebrate a £750,000 refurbishment of the home in College Road, Epsom.
Other contents of the capsule included a signed copy of a Government bill donated by Chris Grayling MP, a CD from Radio Jackie, a race card from Epsom Racecourse and a contribution from Age UK.

Sean Duggan, editor of the Epsom Guardian said: "This week's paper carried a very moving tribute by Nick Bird to his son Adam, a nine-year-old boy who died last week following a protracted battle with cancer.
Hundreds of local people supported the family's appeal for money to fund Adam's treatment abroad over the past few years.
I am glad that Adam's story will be there in 2038 when the capsule is opened as nothing could better illustrate what a caring and supportive community this is.
And I really hope that by then a cure will have been found to prevent children dying of neuroblastoma.
The paper also included stories about Epsom Rotary's first female president, Ewell Village Fair, the suffragette artwork competition and plans by the council to help improve the look of shops.
I wonder what the people who open the capsule in 25 years time, in what will certainly be a radically different society, will make of the events and issues that occupy us today."
