A charity fundraising was held in aid of Princess Alice Hospice to celebrate the opening of a new Zizzi restaurant in Esher.
The new restaurant, the Italian chain’s 131st, held its invite-only opening on Friday, July 19, and has brought 25 new jobs to Esher.
Taking influence from the area’s history, the interior of the restaurant has been inspired by a time when Henry VIII used Esher as a royal hunting ground and diners will see reference to royal hunting and the idea of the feast after the hunt.
Francis Gutierrez, general manager, said: “We really wanted to give something back to the community as part of our opening weekend so we have chosen Princess Alice Hospice as beneficiary for our opening night charity fundraiser.”
The restaurant, at High Street, Esher, will open to the public today.
