A 54-year-old man has been fined £250 for sexual activity in a shopping centre toilet.
Dennis Shaw, 54, who lives off Green Lane, Morden, pleaded guilty to sexual activity in the third floor toilets of the St Nicholas Centre, in Sutton High Street, on June 4.
Shaw, who was playing with himself while talking to someone in a neighbouring toilet, was sentenced at Croydon Magistrates Court, Wednesday, July 17.
Following an appeal on suttonguardian.co.uk featuring CCTV footage Sutton detectives received around 90 calls and multiple people naming Shaw as the culprit.
Detective Constable Steve Newman, of Sutton CID, said: “We would like to thank the local press and the public for their response to our appeal which led to the culprit being found and brought to court.”
