A wildlife hospital raised £12,000 at its open day to help rescue, care and rehabilitate sick and injured animals.
Wildlife Aid Foundation, in Randalls Road, Leatherhead, gave people the chance to go behind the scenes at the open day on July 7.
WAF founder Simon Cowell said: "Numbers were down this year so we were fearful that the event might not pay for itself but in the end, thanks to the generosity of the public and the dedication of our volunteers who made the event possible.
"We raised a grand total of £12,000 - which frankly is amazing in the present economic climate!
"A big thank-you to everyone! This money will help us continue caring for injured and orphaned wildlife and give them a second chance."
