The Medicine Garden will be saying farewell to the summer season with a special party.
The community project will be celebrating its third anniversary of opening, meaning a unique celebration is due.
Created by Paul Studholme, the project took the past seven years to restore the site and the garden is set out based around the North American medicine wheel.
The party will see the launch of the meaning behind the eight directions of the wheel, depicted by trees in the garden.
To kick start the festivities in the restored walled garden, live music from the Guitar Buddies, Ken Emerson and the Twigg Singers will be on offer.
A licensed bar, barbecue and children’s entertainment will also be available, ensuring there is something to suit all tastes and ages.
Nick Udall, chairman of the Medicine Garden Foundation, will then be giving a talk in the Zen Dome on the meaning of the medicine wheel and how to introduce more good medicine into your life.
End of summer party, The Medicine Garden, Downside Road, Cobham; September 1, 11am to 4pm; free entry; for more information visit themedicinegarden.com.
