Someone in Sutton has won £1million - although they may not know it yet.

The National Lottery is searching for the Sutton person who won £1million on the Euromillions Millionaire Raffle on July 26 but has not yet claimed the prize.

A 'Euromillions butler' was even sent to town on Friday to search for the missing millionaire whose ticket has the reference number BZV886683.

The EuroMillions butler searched for the millionaire in the market

The lucky winner was one of 100 people to win seven-figure prizes in the draw - 88 of which have already snapped up their prizes.

A National Lottery spokeswoman said: "It’s exciting to know that someone in the London Borough of Sutton is walking round not knowing they are a millionaire.

It could be any one of the people our EuroMillions butler spoke to today and we urge every player to check their tickets as there are life changing prizes just waiting to be claimed.

"The clock is now ticking for the ticket-holder and we want to get the prize into their bank account so they can start enjoying their win as soon as possible.  Missing tickets have turned up in some strange places so check in the bottom of your handbag, in every coat pocket, even have a rummage down the back of your sofa – the ticket could be lurking anywhere."

The butler was in the town centre trying to jog shoppers' memories and encourage them to search their homes by letting them know if they were the winner they could afford to have their own butler just like him.

The winner has until 11pm on Wednesday, January 22, to claim their prize. Anyone who believes they have won the money can call 0845 910 0000.
