A family with young children was stuck inside a lift after it broke down in a block of flats in Wallington.
Firefighters from Wallington fire station had to free the group of three young children and their mother from a lift in Chatham House, Melbourne Road, at 11pm last night.
The crew was going to wait for lift engineers to attend but the children were growing increasingly distressed so firefighters forced entry and released the family.
