Carshalton and Wallington MP Tom Brake visits jobseekers on the hunt for work
Over two-and-a-half million people might be unemployed in the UK but jobseekers in Carshalton and Wallington have their eyes set on work.
Tom Brake, the MP for Carshalton and Wallington, visited Prospects which provides a number of support services to help people get back into work on Thursday, August 8.
Mr Brake joined a training session and met with people carrying out job searches in the IT suite.
Andrew Gunter-Smith, Prospects operations director, said: “I am delighted Mr Brake has been able to join us to see firsthand the support we are providing for his constituents and meet customers and staff."
Mr Brake said: “It has been great to meet so many residents who are being supported by Prospects and see the activities which are making a positive difference, giving them the skills and confidence to find a job."
