Crystal Palace have recruited a 16th player by finalising the signing of Adlene Guedioura from Nottingham Forest on a three-year deal for an undisclosed fee.

The 27-year-old midfielder joined despite the closing of the transfer window at 11pm last night as part of the deal was agreed before the deadline, allowing the club to continue with proceedings to get the deal done.

Having started his career in the French lower leagues, Guedioura moved onto Belgium where starred for Kortrijk and Charleroi before he was spotted by Wolverhampton Wanderers.

After an impressive loan spell, Guedioura was brought to Molineux on a permanent deal.

Despite a leg break in 2010, the French-born Algerian fought back for a move to Forest on loan in January 2012, only to become a permanent Forest player later that summer.

He went on to become an integral part of the team, making 35 appearances for the Reds, scoring three goals along the way.

Guedioura is also a regular for the Algerian national side having made 27 appearances, including a substitute appearance against England in the group stage of the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
