A pedestrian was killed by a four-car pile-up near a popular music festival at the weekend.

The man in his 30s, who lived in Leatherhead and has yet to be named, is believed to have been leaving the Brownstock music festival in Essex.

The crash happened on the B1012, Lower Burnham Road, near the junction with Fambridge Road at about 10.45pm on Saturday night.

The man in blue denim shorts, who might have been bare-chested, is thought to have been walking towards Fambridge across fields or along the roadside.

Rapper Professor Green and musician Tom Odell performed on the main stage at Brownstock music festival, in Morris Farm, that night.

Anyone who saw the crash or the man beforehand should call Essex Police Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 101 or email collisionappeal@essex.pnn.police.uk.
