I wonder what other cyclists think of the pavement widening around Bourne Hall?
This was needed as the path was too narrow for schools and pushchairs and gives better sight lines for those crossing the road into the car park.
But it changes width with no warning at the entrance to the car park and narrows so there is no safe room to overtake cyclists!
Could a warning sign saying no overtaking bikes be placed just before the hazard please, or new road markings narrowing the road from the start.
I have ridden round here for 40 years and now feel vulnerable, as do other riders I have spoken to.
