Police are becoming increasingly concerned for the welfare of a 79-year-old woman who has been reported missing.

Francella Campbell was last seen at her home in Green Lane, Norbury, at about 3pm yesterday afternoon.

Ms Campbell left her house and has not been seen since by friends or family.

Officers are particularly concerned for her welfare as she suffers from Alzheimer's disease and dementia.

She is described as a black woman, approximately 5ft, of slim build with a Jamaican accent.

She was last seen wearing a turquoise dress and pink jacket, with a pink hat with a turquoise pattern.

Detective Constable Dominic Doyle, from Croydon police, said: "If you have seen anyone matching Francella’s description in or around the south London area, then please get in touch with police.

"It is highly likely she may be confused or disorientated. She is clearly extremely vulnerable due to her age and health, so we would ask for the public’s support in helping to find her."

Anyone with information on Francella’s whereabouts should contact police on 101 or call the Missing People charity on 116 000.
