A man has been taken to hospital with abdominal pain and suspected pelvic injuries after a two car collision this morning.
The accident happened about 6.30am on Coombe Lane, Croydon, at the junction with Oaks Road and the emergency services were called to the scene at about 6.35am.
The injured driver of one car, a man in his early 30s had to be cut from his vehicle by firefighters from Croydon fire station, who removed the doors and the roof to get him out.
The other car fled the scene of the crash, no arrests have yet been made.
Police are investigating the incident and remained at the scene until 1pm when the road re-opened.
