The search for the best businesses in Epsom and Ewell is entering its final weeks.
With entries closing on September 30, more than 50 businesses and individuals have already been nominated for the 2013 Business Excellence Awards, which are sponsored by the Epsom Guardian.
The categories are: best new business, best business in Epsom and Epsom Downs, best business in Ewell and Stoneleigh, best business in Ashtead, best business personality, best creative business, best young entrepreneur, best for commitment to the community, best restaurant or pub, and best overall business.
Prizes include a tour of the House of Commons, £1,000 free advertising with Radio Jackie, one year’s membership to the Surrey Chambers of Commerce, and a free health check courtesy of Ashtead Hospital.
Sara Olsen, awards coordinator, said: "We are receiving a steady stream and would encourage as many people as possible to either nominate or enter their businesses.
"Research demonstrates that winning an award has a position effect on a business.
"We were really keen to hear about all the great initiatives that businesses are executing in the community and to shout about them."
Nominating a company or individual for an award is quick and easy. Simply go to www.epsombusinessawards.co.uk and click on How to Enter by September 30.
